Jon has now received 4 items in the mail and we don’t know who sent them or why he got them. They are an Iphone cover (he has an Android), a mobile phone battery pack, a “sports watch” and an SD Card (large size, not the size that’s most used nowadays).
They don’t come from Amazon but from random places. What’s up??

They are addressed to Jon Crumiller? I assume. This is really bizarre! It would be different if there were a lot of, or even one more, Jon Crumillers!
Jenny comments:
Yes, all addressed to Jon. Only theory I have is maybe he mistakenly got on a list for sending products in exchange for a review although it seems like there would be a notice inside about that.
Jenny comments:
Another thing came today! This time a micro SD card. So weird it might be worth going to Target to see if there are any records or anything.
Darlyne Crum comments:
How many has he gotten and how often do they come?
Susan Sommer comments:
Clearly a cry for help.
Jon comments:
And the Target items say
BILL TO: Jonathan Crumiller
But I don’t know where I’m getting billed for them. It’s a pretty big mystery that I need to solve. I’ll call Target tomorrow.
Jon comments:
I called Target. Long-story-short, someone named Conrad has tried (at least three times) to open a PayPal Credit account with my name and address. The fraudster was unsuccessful because we’ve had credit-check freezes on the three major services (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) ever since we were identity-thefted for US and state tax returns. Due to the credit-check freezes, Synchrony Bank (credit provider for PayPal Credit) turned down those account requests, and recently I received three letters from them about it, so I knew something was awry. I was able to track down the problem because the most recent mystery packages were from Target (the fraudster opened a Target account last week). Now I’m on infinite hold with PayPal Credit.
Julie comments:
How bizarre! And interesting that he ordered things, presumably as part of opening accounts, even though the items would surely trigger curiosity and investigation on your part.
